Vivendi recently put out a press release that boasts about their massive amounts of cash flow. Their ownership of Blizzard continues to be one of their best investments as WoW sales continue to prop up the media conglomerates revenues.
Blizzard's 2007 revenues were up 58% from 2006, while Vivendi Games' other properties (Sierra Entertainment, Sierra Online, and Vivendi Games mobile) were down 29%.
2007 was the first year that Vivendi Games revenues exceeded 1 billion euros (that's about $1.486 billion USD at today's exchange rate). Proof positive that not only is WoW extremely popular with over 10 million users, it's also extremely profitable.
